Al Nahyan here from Pakistan. ive been using swatches from a year or so. couple of ironyzz and have recently bought an automatic chrono right track blue. Its minute recorder of the chronograph had a problem. it kept on shifting away from its mean position with each reset. Well this is the reason i started searching for such a forum where i can get valuable info regarding my swatches. Regarding that auto chrono i got it replaced and the new one is looking great (so far). Its one hell of a watch and i really thank swatch very much fro launching such a beautiful watch at a reasonable price.

Regards,
Al Nahyan,

That I don't know yet but it would probably involve disassembly of the watch.

According to my limited knowledge i think it is impossible to adjust a displaced minute, second or hour hand of chronograph of any automatic chrono if it displaces on each resetting the chrono. Actually i also have a seiko automatic chrono and have analyzed its movement thoroughly but could not find any such provision. Lemania though a different movt from swatch yet it alsodoesnt show any provision.
I think the only way is to remove the movt from the case and then readjusting the displaced hand it by using some suitable tool which doesnt leave any mark on the hand.
now their are two possibilities.
1. If the hand is not tightly fitted on its shaft then gentle pressure can fix it (have done it in a quartz chrono of mine). I know that quartz can be adjusted manually but the problem was that the hand shifting to left with each reset due to inertia of the resetting hand.
2. If the shaft is loosely held in the gear and the shaft slips with each reset then opening the movement is necessary.

Hope i have some what clear my point of view.

I disagree. Firstly the second hand can be reset using the method elsewhere on this site. The other hands can only be set by opening the movement, lifting it off with a presto hands lifter and then push it back on with the correct hand pusher. It is absolutely impossible to push a hand into the correct position without taking it off.

Ok. So to narrow down our discussion how can we actually adjust the second hand register of an automatic chronograph with out taking the movement out of the case??? :?:

sir with all due respect this is not a solution to the problem at all. after several resets when you take the displaced hand to its mean position afterwards it will start shifting further behind its mean position. so problem will be still there. my right track was replaced by swatch and the new one is working fine till now. i think swatch should concentrate on the workmanship of these auto chronos to avoid this problem.
Here is another example.
in my watch the ring on the dial under the crystal with seconds marking from 0 to 60 (which indicates the seconds of the chronograph is not in its actual position. the 60mark of that ring should lie exactly below the 60mark of the tachymeter ring. infact it is slightly to the right of it. so workmanship is a bit casual for these watches.
