Take the watch you like the most and take a extra strap metal ore leather to change it when you like

That is a great idea, but I think the strap is not for sale yet...

HI ,
I beg to differ. Leather strap is not a good "everyday" choice. The leader strap soaks up sweat from our wrist and over time becomes really smelly and eventually , the leather strap will tear. Steel strap is more lasting and has no "odour" effect.

quite apart from the hygiene point of vue
i am inclined to say
a leather bracelet gives more "class" to the
retrograde.
i am supported in this believe since the
red-golden retrograde from ss 2008 will be
provided with a black leather bracelet !
i think i prefer leather over steel

I think with the leather band look more elegant but I think the leather band can resist less to the use than one of metal...

yes. I am not saying leather is any less classy than steel. But the tendency for leather straps to absorb sweat makes it less lasting than the steel strap. I have a diaphane chrono with a leather strap and that is why I want to raise it up. The smell cannot be remove easily even with washing and drying it in the sun.

That is why Tresor Magique and other collectors Irony comes with a replacement strap. If the piece you are buying is intended for some light wear, be sure to buy one or two more sets of leather strap for replacement.

Mouvement ETA G15.261

Retrograde hours and other retrograde indications
“Retrograde” hands sweep a segment of a circle before springing back to their initial position to begin their movement again. Their endless choreography is an inspiration for innovative and highly spectacular dials.
While most watches display time by means of hands rotating on an axis, some watchmakers have given free rein to their creativity by developing alternative displays. In the late seventeenth century, some pocket watches’ hour hand would sweep a segment of a circle for half the day then return to its starting point to begin all over again. Abraham-Louis Breguet used this type of "retrograde" mechanism in the late eighteenth century for functions such as the date or the equation of time. After falling somewhat out of favour, retrograde displays returned to the spotlight on late twentieth-century wristwatches. Today they are very much in vogue and take all manner of forms. Technically speaking, there is nothing revolutionary about this system as the movement’s overall construction remains the same. The difference comes at the very end with the complex mechanism of rack, pawls and springs, conceived and made with the utmost precision, that drives the hands. Retrograde hands lend themselves to all types of indication, for example the hour, minute and date, and this versatility has inspired a wave of "bi-retrograde" and "tri-retrograde" watches. The retrograde system is especially impressive with fast-moving indications such as the seconds. Very often, retrograde hands are combined with jumping indications.

Hi everyone!

I bought recently a swatch retrograde fool fly YRS406G watch. I saw that some people say that it has the ETA G15-261 movement. I found informations that this movement has 6 jewels, but on the back side of my watch it is written "four 4 jewels".

I would like to know which movement is in my watch? The ETA G15-261 with 6 jewels or some other with 4 jewels???
