On Stawi's blog there was a reference to Berlin, any idea when and what kind of event that will be?

Probably related to Illustrative in Berlin, tentative dates: 4 to 7-NOV. The strange thing is: The next Illustrative exhibition will be in MAY-2011, but in November this year, the winners of the Illustrative contest are announced...

We thought also that it would be the Illustrative 2010, but that was already in May 2010. So maybe we're up for a surprise. It would be nice if it was in October instead of November. Then it would be too close to the X-mas event.

no official announcement on the webpage of the club so far but it was definitely announced at the G&P event, so you can consider this as 99.9% sure.

Has anybody heard anything official about this?

With only three weeks to go it may not be possible for everyone to book time off work with such short notice.

Also, since Saalbach is not close to an airport it will be necessary for participants to arrange train and bus travel which means a lot of extra work.

Any news of airport transfers as in 2006?

This is looking difficult for me, I have a work conference on the 1st, but travelling on the 2nd could be possible.

although i am already registered for
the event (i got my confirmation wednesday at 14.03)
i was curious whether the event is now sold out.

as of this morning some 5 minutes ago
it was still possible to subscribe for the event.
i presume the relative high costs for participating
and the difficulty of getting there (flying either
to Salzburg or Munich, and the further transport
to Saalbach (more than 100 kilometers from either
airport) might be responsible for the limited
interest. i understood in Berlin that Swatch had booked
some 67 rooms in Saalbach.
i hope the event will go on as planned in spite of slow
subscriptions.

People are saying that this event is selling slowly; but I think that this is following two very fast selling Christmas events (Lisbon sold out in 40 monutes and New York sold out in 4 minutes).

I do recall that in Saas-Fee many people were disappointed that the Chrismas event was returning to Saalbach.

For me transport and work commitments are the main reasons why I can not go.

Had the event details and bookings been available earlier then it might have been possible for me to attend, but with only two weeks between booking and the event the flights which are still available are not really suited to my schedule.

Still available at 08:09 CET on 19/11/2010.

I think that by Friday 26th November this event will be marked as "Sold Out", even if not all the available places are filled.

This will be to permit Swatch to finalise room allocations, gift packages, coaches etc.

Marked as "Sold Out" this morning - just after I checked that it was still open for booking :(

Happily, after a quick e-mail to the Club I was sent the booking link so I was able to reserve my place after all :D

A flight paid with miles and the availability of a lift from Zurich Airport changed my mind on this.

The only downside is that I have to get up at stupid o'clock after the company's conference and Christmas party in order to get my flight
