Fantastic!

A Dutch company called Faunafilm filmed the Blum Collection display in 1994. They just finished compiling a set of great Youtube movies from that footage. Do you want to be astounded by the rarest of prototypes? Check it out!

You're fast, Hans. I just wanted to add these movies to the forum.

The people of this company contacted me at the beginning of this week, if I had some extra information for them, which I have sent them. Nice to see our site at the end of the movie. :-)

The Blum Collection was the largest collection in the world. The bad news was that Mr. Blum had a very fragile health and he died pretty suddenly. After his death his collection was sold.

But thanks to the Internet and this Dutch Stock company we can now enjoy again all these beautiful Swatch prototypes from the 80's!

WOW....
That was some collection. Rob, you mentioned that it was sold off - was it sold complete or broken up?

Dear JGB,

Yes, the collection was broken up and sold to several collectors.

Dear Hans,

Yes, we now indeed have a digital version of the booklet of the Blum collection. :-)

I watched these in the last few days, there were allot of the prototypes that I think are better than what made it to production. Some have a eighties look but are still very nice designs. 8)
