Hello, I have just received a Swatch Auto Quartz with a Black and light grey leather and plastic strap. It has an all black watch case with a glass back and has the luminous dots actually on the glass of the watch. It has a see through dial and the dial is in the design of a car steering wheel, hopefully a SMART car, it has the date 1998 on the dial.

This watch comes in a presentation plastic box held within a plastic see through case held together with velcro with a huge (1.3cm x 5 cm) white plastic rectangular piece of plastic with the legend SWATCH on it.

What I would love to know is:

1. Is it a swatch designed for the launch of the MCC Smart Car?

2. Other than being a good watch for me, does it have any real worth.

Thanks very much, that is my watch. I actually bought it as a present for my wife to go with her new Smart car. But no sooner had i got it than I thought that I had been conned.

I have Smart Roadster, it is a 700cc micro car.

However it is fitted with a Turbo and sounds fantastic when accelerating hard. It gives around 40 per gallon and never fails to please us anytime we use it. It is even better on a dry day as the roof opens giving almost convertible levels of fresh air.

All in I can't fault them, they are light, fastish, handle well and are great fun. More to the point you do not have to attain light speed to enjoy its merits.
