My guess is as good as yours or anyones.

I know 1st edition is Switzerland, I know edition 21 is USA.
My guess is a European country. But which one ?
Where can I find the real answer ? Not Swatchissimo or old Bonello, because I checked.

Am going to Paris to-morrow. So my unsubstantiated guess would be
France ?

Sorry haes this is not the good answer

You are warm

have a good trip to france :)

Can I have a second guess ?

If so, my second guess would be Italy.

Going to bed now, thanks for your thoughts on my trip.

OK, you have had your chances :-) "A Guide To Swatchwatches, Vol.1" by Dan Komar and F. Planche lists all the countries on p. 276: The 20th edition was sold in .... drumroll .... GREECE!

"A Guide To Swatchwatches, Vol.1 and Vol.2" and "Swatchissimo" are an absolute must for every serious Swatch collector. Tons of valuable info and darn good pictures! Not all of this info can be found on the web...

Fortunately, these books can be found easily and cheap on ebay.

Does anyone know the original selling price of these books? I assume that "Swatchissimo" was really expensive as the print quality is superb.

On 19-NOV-2001, Antiquorum sold an almost complete(!) collection of Swatch watches in an online auction. This was one of the bigger (the biggest?) auctions of recent times.

You can browse the lots here: http://catalog.antiquorum.com/catalog.html?auctionid=19

Some bargains could be made during the auction as it was not well known amongst collectors, and the online auction system worked much worse than ebay.

In my experience, this company did not act completely professional (yes, I know, selling 1489 swatches at once is not an easy task but they charge a much larger premium than ebay):

All the watches were listed as "mint". Some of the rare ones (Breakdance, 83s etc.) turned out as significantly used. The biggest mixup was the swap of GB101 with GC101... Real professionals should know about the difference, it is not that hard.
