Nice to see a forum for Swatch collectors. I live in Salt lake City, Utah USA I have a large collection of most varities of Swatch. My favorites ar Chronos both Skin & Irony I wear everything I buy at least once.. I have(had) a collection of specials & limited editions as I was able to buy them all when we had a Swatch Store in Salt Lake but have traded or given most away. My collection is some where around 150 pieces most are boxed up (reqular gents plastics, autos etc.) I have been know to drive to Las Vegas for a one hour special event or just to buy a new Swatch (crazy my sister tells me) but I have given her and the kids dozens of Swatches. Right now I have to watch cases displayed that hold 8 watches each allmost all Swatch-each morning as I get ready for work and the morning news is on the T.V. I stand over my display to select the days Swatch-they're all my favorites but I find myself going in cycles of which modles I wear, Skin to Irony to Autos..sometimes I do have to wear my Company watch when the boses come into town. Since I have wore everything I have bought, I have at least a hundred cases which I have no idea which Swatch the belongs to which case, so the cases sit in a large storage container with all my displays, banners, promo stuff.

Sorry to be so long  hope to vist often, even just to read others post.
have a great day 8)

Hi UTAH,

Very nice to hear from you. I agree with your belief......wear the watches and have fun. I try to wear something different each day as well..... Swatch is great because you can share your collection each day with others.
I am in sales and meet people every day that comment on my watches.....some even want to buy them off my wrist.

Today an old Nuatilus is on my left wrist.....yesterday Handwerker, then Skeleton, Bufera, Grey Line, and Heigh Alert earlier in the week.

Best Regards.../JG

I wear 100 different swatches
If you wear a lot of differed swatches , I guess you look on the wrist of people what kind of swatch they wear

Hello there,

nice to have you here.
Back in 1992, I was working up in Park City and my friend was a quite known person around there : Chris Oesch, ski instructor and chef on TV.
He also worked with the US Ski Team, back then. 8)

I worked at Adolphs' as a chef when Julie Parisien was there and got to know and love UTAH pretty well.......what a nice place to be. Never ( so far ) had the chance to come back, but I need to get all the slopes done, at least once.......I fell in love with the Jazz and the fabulous two ( malone and stockton )......I shiver when I think of these days.......

Best wishes and have a good day...

I'm also a Swatch fan in Utah. Just got back from Vegas. I bought Jeu De Bilies and Color the Sky. I nearly cried when they closed the Swatch store at Crossroads Mall. Now, the WHOLE mall is gone. When are they going to open a Swatch store at The Gateway?

Are there just two of us in Utah? I was hoping to find a local Swatch Club, but I haven't been able to find any others. I'm sure they're out there, but how do we find them?

Hello lauramoncu.

Its been a while since I've visited the forum. When the Store was open at Crossroads Mall there were at best a few dozen serious collectors. I work downtown and was there allmost every day. Knew all the managers on first name basis..would get calls when they had specials-giving me first chance at buying them. I would guess I spent around 10 grand. A couple of watches a month. I used to know the staff at the Fashion Show mall in Vegas but now thats closed with only that small store at Caesars Forum shops.. the staff having no real knowledge of Swatch, its history or models :( any way, I cant see a store at Gateway, it would be nice to get a few of the new watches sure, but I get what I want from Squiggly other wise I've move on to higerend watches..with Swatch group movements of course :D

So I'm back again, over a year since I last posted....Chances,,, I had to retire (job lost to consolidation) but found myself going in cycles with a lot of spare time..buying Swatch on Ebay (most are overpriced or others think their collector piece is in great condition and ok that the special package and paper work don't make a difference) or Squiggly...but the exchange rate has gone too high or the postage fee offsets a lower priced watch. Online Swatch store is my best source now with low shipping and no tax...... 8)
