Cory Aquino Swatch Watch

I read from the news that a special Swatch watch to commemorate Corazon Aquino will be released on 25 January 2010. Designed by Jaime Zobel (just like GK268) and is limited to 801 pieces.

im from the philippines here corys swatch watch will be available Jan 25, 2010 on her birthday limited to 801 not numbered there is a reservation of P3000.00 philippine peso and the total price of the watches P8100.00 philippine pesos

Philippine Pesos 8,100 equals US Dollar 177 or Euro 123. That is quite expensive for a Gents Swatch!

Before ordering for that price I really need more info like pictures, the packaging, tags, code and confirmation of the limitation. Can you arrange that?

Here's what I found out after googling:

The Cory Aquino Swatch Limited Edition comes in a unique package—a book on Aquino titled “A Woman Dressed in Sunshine” containing a touching introduction by Teddyboy Locsin and photos of Aquino through historic and personal moments.

i heard there will be two release dates - 25 Jan and 8 Feb. i don't know why there's two thought. i only managed to be on the second batch since the first one has already been pre-sold out. i haven't seen any pics, but someone's sending me the preview photos soon. i will post it here asap. this is quite exciting!

hmmm.. same dial design as the centennial watch



though some difference on the 'sun', the cory watch has thicker rays,
and the sun is placed somewhat lower.

I'm guessing it's only the strap that differentiate it?

i see.... it will be a reissue with a special strap. i thought it would be a completely new design. but it still looks good, i would still want a set. i hope the packaging's fantastic.
