A mistake from my very early days..........

I was told that swatch got so fed up with being copied they released this to have a pop at the fakes. Second hand is a revolving disc.

While we were in Milan in October 2003 for the first anniversary of the Via della Spiga store we found a Kiki Picasso Irony Automatic.

A friend bought it for about 40 Euros.

I do not have a photo available, but the owner may post one if he is a regular here.

Certainly an unusual piece.

A funny fake of "Don't Be Too Late", probably from the mid 90s. Note the "(c) Swatch AG 1993" on the bottom of the dial:

That Kiki Picasso looks pretty authentic to me. What gives it away as a fake? Other than the strap not matching, the case, dial and hands look authentic Swatch to me.

Anyway, here is an obvious fake that I got several years ago. I have it posted on e$bay right now, if anyone is interested.

Base on my sound "photo-hunt" skills,

The KIKI is fake because:

1) The real KIKI is suppose to have a rather big "swatch" word slanted
downwards to the right side of the dial
2) In the real kiki , the head is tilt up with the eyes looking higher. If you
compare side by side, it can be noticed
3) The stripe to the right with 2 triangles, On the real KIKI, it tilts lower
than the horizontal.
4) In the real KIKI , the fist of the man forming the "V" sign is lower than
the 3 o'clock position.

It seems to me that points 2-4 could be a result of a slight anti-clockwise misalignment of the the dial plate but point 1 is a dead giveaway.

Those are my observations. Do correct me if i am wrong. All these is just based on the sole KIKI i see on the squiggly website. I cant comment on colour schemes having only seen one example. T.T

If this swatch sold in a official swatch store then I’m very curious where is the store located
