Colours from nature recall wild blue skies and the sea in a land untouched by man. The silicone strap of this rugged Irony Chrono combines a light blue base with a grooved dark grey insert leading to a polished case and bezel, both in stainless steel 316L. On the bezel is a matt dark grey band from which polished Arabic numerals are raised in relief (5, 20, 15 …60); minute dots mark the first quarter hour. The dial takes up the vertical groove pattern from the strap with a semi-circular metal applique on the lower half showing alternate polished and matt vertical stripes; the upper half is sun-brushed anthracite. A silver minute ring with silver hour dots circles the dial from hours 12 to 5 and 7 to 12, framing Arabic numerals formed of polished metal appliques (hours 11, 12 and 1), finely-drawn silver (hours 3 and 9) or cut from the semi-circular applique on the lower half (hours 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9); a silver-on-white date aperture appears at 6 o’clock. The dials, numerals and indexes of the decimal, 60-minute and continuous seconds counters offer various combinations of matt and polished metal surfaces; the latter two are highlighted with delicate light blue circles around the dials; the continuous seconds counter adds light blue numerals and a light blue hand. Polished squelette metal hour hand and minute hands feature light blue highlights and mark the time. A slim reflective metal chrono seconds hand completes this intricate design.
