The primary focus during design of this one-hand watch was to achieve optimum readability: the narrow case border can accommodate a very large dial. Positioning the time scale right at the edge of the dial results in maximum resolution and therefore a highly precise time display. In conjunction with the extremely slim hand, the exact time can be read to an accuracy of just a few minutes. The strap lugs are positioned underneath the case, which makes the watch much more comfortable to wear, especially by people with slim wrists. The UNO is regarded as the original modern one-hand watch and remains today one of Klaus Botta‘s internationally most successful watches.
