In the land once ruled by the Roi du Soleil, gold is the natural expression of exclusive wealth and luxury. The Sun King’s artisans created wonderful furnishings and works of art with multiple layers of ornamental burnished gold that still shines through the centu-ries to inspire the artists of today. Gold PVD coats the brushed stainless steel 316L bracelet of this magnificent Irony Petite Seconde; two parallel rows of gold and matt blue plastic links lead to the brushed stainless steel 316L case with its gold PVD sur-face. The dark blue bezel has printed golden hour markers and a quarter-hour scale with golden minute indices. A white rehaut around the sun-brushed dark blue dial fea-tures a white minute ring with Arabic numerals and indices (00, 04, 06…58, 59). The shimmering blue dial has a lightly printed tile pattern; golden applique Arabic numerals at hours 3, 9 and 12 are complemented by a gold-framed black-on-white date window at 4 o’clock, square golden applique hour markers at hours 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 11, and a continuous seconds (petite seconde) counter at 6 o’clock. The petite seconde fea-tures a silver creusé dial, black indices and a golden hand, and is framed by a golden applique circle. Golden hour and minute hands with superlite white highlights mark the time.
