White is the colour of elegance, and this stylish new Swatch Chrono Automatic achieves a classic yet contemporary look. The white synthetic leather strap presents an alligator pattern and white stitching with a double white leather loop and a brushed stainless steel 316L buckle. An engraved white tachometric scale adorns the polished stainless steel 316L bezel, which is mounted on a moulded transparent plastic case with brushed steel crown and chrono pushers. An opaque crystal glass case back features a clear aperture offering an unobstructed view of the intricate automatic movement within (the ETA Calibre C01.211 is a fifteen-jewel, 3Hz movement with a 46-hour power reserve and a middle rate of 20 seconds +/- 20 seconds per day). A fine black minute ring with Arabic numerals (05, 10 ... 60) on a silver flange surrounds the white and sun brushed silver dial. Black numerals and indexes contrast white and sun brushed silver dials: the 30-minute counter at 12, the 6-hour chrono at 6 and the continuous seconds counter at 9 o’clock form a balanced triad on the left side of the dial, opposite the black-on-white date aperture framed in sun brushed silver set at 3 o’clock; all counters have polished metal hands with squelette arrow tips. A slim silver central chrono seconds hand registers stop times, and polished silver squelette hour and minute hands with white superlite highlights mark the time of day.
