Mountains, forests, lakes and the sea stretch out under winter skies as far as the eye can see. This rough and ready Swatch Chrono Plastic takes up the official colours of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The dark blue silicone strap features a narrow vertical line formed of coloured structured silicone squares and dark blue silicone loop. The buckle matches the transparent clear mat plastic case, with solid light blue plastic chrono pushers and a solid dark blue plastic crown. Mounted on the case is a solid dark blue plastic rotating bezel with a white minute ring and white Arabic numerals (05, 10, 15 …60). The white dial features printed silver Arabic numerals formed of square dots at hours 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 11, printed silver hour markers at 2, 6 and 10 o’clock, a white-on-dark blue date aperture at 4 o’clock and the official Vancouver 2010 inukshuk emblem at 12 o’clock. The 60-minute chrono counter features a blue dial with black printed numerals and indexes; the decimal counter has a green dial with white numerals and indexes, and the somewhat larger continuous seconds counter at 6 o’clock has a dark blue dial with light blue and white numerals and white indexes. A slim light blue central chrono seconds hand registers chrono stop times, and tapered squelette hour and minute hands mark the time of day.
