Welcome to the Squiggly Newsletter of May 02, 2008.

This was a very short week for us here in The Netherlands and so is this weeks newsletter. The reason: last Wednesday it was Queensday here in Holland , a day everybody is celebrating the birthday of our former Queen Juliana. The day after Queensday it was Ascension day an old Katholic feast. (Almost ) everybody in Holland had a day off. Nevertheless we have been busy creating quite a few new pieces in the refurbished section and you'll find quite a few nice pieces there for very little money.

It’s Friday and in most cases this is the day Rob gives the Special Offers a big refresh. Due to this short week and the fact the current Special Offers are selling very well, we have left it as it is.

Here are three random highlights.

On March 1, 1983 the first Swatch watch officially went for sale. The sales started with a launch in Zürich. After 25 years we're still enjoying the fun, elegance and design of our favorite Swatch watches.

Squiggly is walking on Memory Lane. A Street of Swatch watches that can be considered a Swatch Memory. Every week a member of the Swatch-Clopedia forum has the opportunity to take out five watches of this list, and enter 5 new ones.

Contest

For Google it is very important to have links with other websites and we thought it would be fun to make a contest out of it. The person who creates the most links to our forum wins a YAS100D Body & Soul. That's the one with the rare US fliplock bracelet!

The rules:
1. This contest runs until the 31st of May 2008 23.59 hours
2. One link per website. It is not allowed to make more than 1 link from a website.
3. The website needs to be fashion related, watch related or even better Swatch related. Also link farms are not allowed.
4. In order to count your link you need to name your link. For instance: www.squiggly.com/forum/?haes or www.squiggly.com/forum/?masas

In this way we know who made the link and we can count it. The link still needs to be there on the 1st of June 2008, when we will count the links.

When you have created the link, you can post it right away on the forum, so other contestants know they can no longer place a link on that website.
