On March 1, 1983 the first Swatch watch officially went for sale. The sales started with a launch in Zürich. After 25 years we're still enjoying the fun, elegance and design of our favorite Swatch watches.
Squiggly is walking on Memory Lane. A Street of Swatch watches that can be considered a Swatch Memory. Every week a member of the Swatch-Clopedia forum has the opportunity to take out five watches of this list, and enter 5 new ones.
Here is Jffrey's choice of this weeks Memory Lane:
Beneath you can find the selection and motivation Jffrey made:
|
| GK104- Snowwithe Year: 1987 |
|
GB127 – Medici’s Year: 1989 |
|
GB144 – After Dark Year: 1992 |
|
GN408 - The 6 Moons Year: 2001 |
|
GN150 - Clack Sheep Year: 1995 |
This was a hard selection cause in my list was GB107 too, and I didn’t realize that those two comes from the same year and both comes in to my mind at same time cause they both was showing in the same Kiosk that I love to stare when I was kid.
Description: Transparent Case and Mirrored Dial, black hands and black straps, this combination of colors gives to this watch a very beauty look. I always think that this watch can be used to spy the people at your back because the mirrored dial.

I think it is one of the more beautiful Swatch ever made and it’s almost “Black”, I only see this watch during my first semester in the university, it has belong to a class mate who I never have seen again.
Description: This watch is almost completely black, it only has colors in the beautiful painting design over it. The design I think was inspired in the Famous Florentine Medici family from the 13th to 17th century, who have sponsored to many art masterpieces in Italy, even some that comes from Michelangelo. |
|
In this case I choose this watch because I can’t choose the watch I most like and, I most Love The Blackout. And it is the watch who more looks like The Blackout, maybe this is a Blackouts “Remake”.
Description: This is a completely black watch even the hands that makes this watch a little hard to use especially at night. It has all the numbers on the dial in gloss black paint to help it visibility. |
|
This Watch is the start of my hard work to introduce back my family in to the Swatch world. It was very hard to me because here in my country is almost impossible to find the last launched models.
Description: This watch is all made in translucent light blue materials, and had a wide rubber strap that have to be attached by a pin around the wrist, the dial is black and the numbers are from different tones of blue and sizes, this watch have the date at 6 o clock.

This watch is one of the most popular and desirable Swatch ever, I think it is for the beautiful design, you can see it in the other Swatches have created with the same design. I never see an original Black Sheep, but I already have seen a Maxi version of it and is beautiful too, its hard to get off Kimiko but I like Black Sheep to much.
Description: Its a beautiful black watch with a great Sheep design printed in it, that have been repeated in Maxi and X-Large Swatches. One rare thing is that the black sheep isn't in the Head but is in the strap.
