This years Winter Paralympics took place in Vancouver on March 12 till 21. A SUDK103F – Vancouver 2010 Paralympics volunteer special was released during this event. The watch was given to the participating volunteers during this event.
Swatch will release a new collection very soon, among them there will be a color expansion of the popular full-blooded collection in the colors: blueberry, caramel and raspberry.

Swatch Retrograde… What are they?
The Swatch Irony Chrono Retrograde models present a mix of traditional and innovative chronograph features. Two pushers and the crown are placed on the right side of the case, which is normal. The dials seem to be traditional. They offer hour and minute hands, three subdials in the usual positions and a central second’s hand. But at closer look you will see the big difference on the Swatch Retrograde.
The subdial positioned at the top right is where the novelty can be found. The Arabic numerals begin at zero and run to 5 minutes. The hand sweeps counterclockwise, and when it reaches the 4 minute and 59 second mark, it takes 1 second to jump back to zero – thus the “retrograde” of the name.
Similarly, the counter positioned at the top left has a hand running from Arabic numeral 0 to 60 minutes; the hand jumps back to 0 when it reaches the 59-minute and 59 seconds mark (“retrograde” once again).
A third chrono counter is the big second hand on the watch. Here again, the hand sweeps the bottom part of the dial, as it counts from 0 to 30 seconds and, on reaching the 29-second mark, takes 1 second to jump back to zero (“retrograde” movement number 3).
The stainless steel case is sealed with a mineral crystal, which is a novelty for Swatch. SWatch Retrograde is a trendy watch but with a technical excellence.

The Roland Garros French Open just took place in Paris, France on May 18 till June 6. Rafael Nadal claimed hit fifth French Open title in the men’s singles of this year’s Roland Garros. In 3 sets he beat his Swede opponent Robin Soderling and reclaimed his Roland Garros crown.
The result makes Nadal just the second man in history (behind Bjorn Borg) to win five or more French Open titles (Borg won six) and lands him the unique ‘Red Slam’ – the trio of ATP Masters 1000 clay court titles at Monte Carlo, Rome and Madrid, topped off by victory at Roland Garros.

On May 24 the Nicholas G. Hayek center in Tokyo celebrated its third anniversary. Just like the two previous editions of this anniversary, two new Swatch Specials have been released.
Both watches are Colour Code Swatches. They are fitted with a special loop around the strap and come in a paper sleeve that shows the building. Each special is limited to 250 pcs, numbered xxx/250 on the back of the packaging.

Swatch celebrated the launch of the Italian fashion website Vogue.it by releasing a second series of Swatch Colour Codes specials. Just like the Swatch Pro Girl watches, these Colour Codes Swatches are fitted with a special loop on the strap. The launch party took place in Milano, Italy during the Milano Fashion Week. 300 pcs were distributed.
