Swatch will launch a new product line in Februari, the New Irony Big. The difference between the older Irony Big watch is the differently shaped case. The new Irony’s will have the same looks and feels of the older Irony watches. The next 5 models will be part of the New Irony Big Collection, all 5 models will have leather straps with double loops and stainless steel buckles.

In last week’s newsletter we mentioned that there was a rumor of a new Colour Code Collection ladies watches coming in the summer. The collection contains 10 lady Colour Code Swatch watches and are already on sale in Italy. The silicon strap is quite long, you can turn the strap around your arm at least 2 times and the colors are not that strong as the Colour Gent collection.

There are 2 limited editions of gent Swatch watches available for the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.
The GZ223 (1500 pieces limited), called Power Position which comes in a nice paper sleeve and the GZ224, called Climb the Top (1200 pieces limited without paper sleeve). 100 pieces of each of the 2 specials were distributed with a numbered certificate. And it seems that a third Swatch Special had been released for the Young Olympic games, a genetic code (GZ164) Swatch with a special strap and a nice paper sleeve.

We have new in stock the SUBB119C, called Color Twist. This is a nice colorful square ladies watch which will give you an early spring feeling!

We have a new Irony Big in stock, the YGS747 called Blue Suit. A very nice stainless steel gent with leather strap, day and date function and is water resistant up to 30 meters.

4 more Philippines universities/colleges will soon release their own Swatch specials. The Ateneo, De La Salle and St. Scholastica’s College are already released. A gent where a maxi version also exist, the Immaculata Conception Academy. Assumption College (will very likely be GE1219) which comes in a nice paper sleeve. A gent called University of Philippines and University of Santos Tomas which will contain 5 watches: Irony Petite Seconde, Gent, Diaphane Automatic and 2 Irony Medium which will be packed in a nice paper box, a maxi version is also available.

Soon there will be 2 new brown Colour Code gent watches available. These are Sand Storm (GC111, Swatch already had a Chrono with the same name) and Sand Hill (GC112).
There is also a rumor that there will be a Colour Code collection of lady watches in the summer.

Somewhere in January, a new line of artist watches will be launched. This is a co-operation of Swatch and Kidrobot. The co-operation will feature some of the favorite Kidrobot artist like Tara McPherson, Gary Baseman, Joe Ledbetter, Tilt, SSUR, Jeremyville, MADL and Frank Kozik. There will be a matching Dunny coming with each Swatch/Kidrobot artist watch. It’s not clear yet if each watch with Dunny will be limited or not. A numbered gift set which will be limited to 300 pieces containing the entire collection of Kidrobot / Swatch watches, the companion Dunny’s and a white, mustached 20″ Dunny designed by Frank Kozik will also be available.
