Swatch has launched a new model made by the famous Brazilian archtitect Oscar Niemeyer. The first launch was at the National Museum in Brasilia, but now the watch is available in limited numbers worldwide.

Swatch FIVB 2010 Staff Special

Just like last years, during the Swatch FIVB Volleyball World Tour, the staff that participated in this event received a special FIVB 2010 Swatch to thank them. This year the watch is a SKB106 – Fire Guard with a new strap.

2010 Chinese Valentine Specials

A new Chinese Valentine Special will be released in Taiwan. The new Swatch special will be made in collaboration with Jimmy Spa, a famous illustrator from Taipei.

The specials is a LK308G –Lady Maona and is packaged in a book with illustrations of Jimmy. The special is limited to 2000pcs, not numbered.

2 New Swatch Chrono Automatic

This week we received 2 new Swatch Chrono Automatic watches.
SVGB401 – Right Track Sunshine (left)
SVGB402 – Right Track Sunset (right)

These two new models in the Swatch Chrono Automatic Collection feature a moulded plastic case; disc-shaped windows in the crystal glass caseback present an unobstructed view of the fascinating mechanical movement within. The heart of the Swatch Chrono Automatic is the new self-winding ETA Calibre C01.211, a fifteen-jewel, 3Hz movement with a 46-hour power reserve. The thirty-minute and six-hour chrono counters are positioned at 12 and 6 o’clock, respectively, while the continuous seconds counter appears at 9 o’clock. A date aperture appears on all models at 3 o’clock.

Brasilia Special

Swatch has launched a Swatch Special GZ227 – Traces Of An Architect with a big party at the National Museum in Brasilia. This took place at the end of April. The watch was introduced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Brasilia, the capitol of Brazil. The watch is limited to 1500 pcs and will be sold world wide. The watch box is covered in a special paper sleeve.
