SWATCH welcomes Year of the Tiger with Chinese New Year Special

Swiss fashion watchmaker joins Chinese community celebrations around the world

SWATCH joins Chinese communities around the world in welcoming the Year of the Tiger. February 14th kicks off the traditional 15-day New Year’s celebration. It’s a time for inspiration, with joyful colours and an eye on contemporary fashions along with family get-togethers, parades and colourful events culminating in the famous Lantern festival. An ancient custom associates each year with one of twelve animals, and people born that year are said to have something of the animal’s personality. A person born in the Year of the Tiger is likely to be powerful, active and positive all good signs of success in the year ahead!

Ever-optimistic and passionate about art, sports, and fashion watches, SWATCH is pleased to contribute to upcoming New Year celebrations with THE BLESSING SIGN, a brightly coloured Gent with inky black strokes of the brush evocative of the Tiger’s stripes. Given such an auspicious combination of colours and characteristics, SWATCH presents THE BLESSING SIGN in unique Special Packaging a warm and colourful companion ‘mascot’ for the year ahead.
