To change a buckle on a plastic swatch strap, you need the following two things.

  • a little screwdriver
  • a little plier
01
Step 1

Take the pliers and grip the strap just like the image.

02

With you other hand take the little screw driver and put it diagonal between the bugle and the pliers.

03
Pull up the screw driver and flip of the buckle from the metal part.
04
Slide of the buckle and remove the little pin.
05

If necessary you can now change or renew the keeper on the strap.

06
Take the new buckle and slide the metal pin in to the strap.
07
Put in the new pin with the angle pointing down and slide the buckle right trough the hole.
08
Make sure you push the pin trough so that it is in place just like the image.
09
Hold the strap between two fingers and push up the loose part of the strap to place the little hole on top of the metal pin.
10

When you finished pushing up the loose end of the strap, it looks like this.

11
Now squeeze both sides of the buckle so it returns to its original shape.
12

Congratulations! You just changed the buckle on your swatch strap.
